I'm picking out a Thermos for you...

Tomorrow morning...well to be technical, this morning, around 11am, I'm going to be doing my first "event" as HOA Social Committee chair. I've emailed everyone and their grandmother's hair dresser about 8 billion times and 47 thousand different ways, so I'm really REALLY hoping I have more than just the HOA Secretary and President show up (although they are both lovely ladies). I'll be there with the "Hi My name is" badges and errthang.

We went to pick our "colors" for the house today. Turns out they showed us the wrong paint book for exterior colors, so we'll have Edenburgh brick (as originally planned) and Aspen White (not Coconut as planned) for our exterior paint and doors. 

We also added on 4 recessed can lights in our kitchen, upgraded the door hardware, lighting fixtures, etc to satin nickel (instead of the brass standard), added a "Cinder" hearthstone backsplash in the kitchen, upgraded the laminate countertops to "premium laminate" in "Smoky Topaz". 

Our kitchen cabinets are going to be "Spice", our walls and ceilings (at least until we paint some of the walls ourselves) are going to be "Swiss Coffee" (a fairly bright white), our carpet is "Neutral Ground", and our vinyl flooring (temporary, we'll be doing ceramic tile ourselves later on) is "Montana Ridge". Which means nothing if you can't see the samples haha.

Also, we drove by our site, and where there was previously just grass-we now have some dirt! Yay dirt!
